Nominations are reviewed by the AIE Award Committee and presented at the 2022 AIE State Meeting. A physical engraved award of a crystal globe atop a red sandstone pedestal with awardee name on the front and AIE presentation date on the back is mailed to recipients after the award announcement.
Ann M. Koenig began her career in international education in June 1988 and retired in September 2021. She was an Associate Director with AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) from 2002 until her retirement. Ann’s 33-year career path included foreign credential evaluation in professional evaluation services, campus-based work in international admissions, student records management, academic advising and transfer credit evaluation, in Wisconsin, California and Germany.
Ann’s country education system research, along with her writing on best practice in international admissions, document review and fraud awareness, have been published by AACRAO and NAFSA. She was active as a leader, researcher and trainer in professional development activities sponsored by AACRAO, NAFSA, NAGAP, EAIE, TAICEP, and other organizations in the U.S. and Europe.
Ann was a member of Arizona International Educators and provided leadership. Over the 20 years she has lived in the Phoenix area while working for AACRAO, Ann and her professional partner and husband Ed Devlin shared training in admissions and credential evaluation at AIE annual meetings and for many Phoenix-area institutions.
The 2022 AIE State Meeting will take place the morning of Friday, March 4, 2022. Plan to join your colleagues again virtually. Free registration will open in February.
